After locating my First Mother I found that she had contacted the CC Boston Bureau four times to update my file and welcome contact. I paid CC in the past to look in my file and they said nothing was found. There are others with my date of birth or not whose adoptions were through CC and this concerns me. If you are or once did request them to look in your file - then you might want to check again and make every request in writing and ask for confirmation. I'm not saying that every file is incomplete-I have asked them to investigate why we were not reunited. Also, my purchased Birth Parent Profile from CC was not accurate.

I used CC in Quincy and they said that my records and daughter's were "misfiled" when they moved to Southie.

My birthday is 11-05-1985, and I was adopted through Catholic Charities. I know that my birth mother was 14 or 15 and my birthfather was slightly older. I am beginning to think that my legal birthday is not my real birthday, because in searching online for YEARS I have not found a single thing about a teenage high school student in MA having a baby on this date and then giving her up for adoption. Am I being too cynical? They couldn't lie to me about my actual birthdate, could they?
Can someone please find me the name of my birthparents, they were so young then and what bothers me most of all about not knowing is because they were so young and most likely grew up and eventually did have families of their own--meaning I probably have brothers and/or sisters out there somewhere and I am adopted and an only child so I have strong feelings about this situation.
This legal decision made by my birthmother to give me up for adoption when she was 14 and he was 17 or whatever, it makes sense--and I could even understand if they don't want me to think they are going to be some sort of family member to me if I find them--I don't expect this. All I really want from them is to see what they look like, talk to them at least once and get their medical histories. (They were so young when I was put up for adoption that any real genetic type medical things wouldn't have happened to them yet like breast cancer or MS, and knowing about these things being in your family can save your life with preventative care)
WHAT I AM DEMANDING IS FOR ANY POSSIBLE SIBLINGS I HAVE AND I TO BE ABLE TO DECIDE BETWEEN OURSELVES AS LEGAL ADULTS WHETHER OR NOT WE WANT TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER.
They have nothing to do with the fact that their parent(s) signed me away legally, or are refusing to let me know who they are, and once they turn 18, I should legally be able to find out any brothers or sisters that exist in this world for me. It should not be one adult's decision that two different adults cannot know about each other.
GIVE ME MY LIFE. I want to know WHO I AM. I want to research my genealogy. I want to be proud of whatever background I have. This is so unfair. It's like my life is this novel, and I am furiously reading it, trying to understand everything in it and figure it out and eventually come to some conclusions in the end--but I am confused about all of the components of the story because the entire first chapter that explained all the background information is missing. And I keep turning the pages, next page, next page, wondering if at some point they might reiterate the important information I had missed from that first chapter and then things will finally make sense and I can feel as though that when my conclusion does occur, my story will be complete and beautiful and crystal clear.
