I know this is an old post so I don't know if you found him yet or not, but did you check facebook? There is a Chris Dericco on there in Santa Rosa CA looks to be about the same age. Good Luck!

blueyesw- does it say what town your mother was born in? If so you can request her birth certificate (I was surprised you could do this, but I did it) and when that comes it will give you more information on her especially her date of birth and her parents names and then it will become easier to search.
Good Luck!

 ABOUT SB63
« Result #8 on Aug 2, 2009, 12:59am »

***HUGE NEWS!!!***SB63 Passes in Massachusetts-September 6, 2007! http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/seslaw07/sl070109.htm as of Dec 5, 2007 adoptees are now able to obtain identifying informaton from their original birthcertificate. Vital Records Office Information is located here http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2termin....ut&csid=Eeohhs2 Instructions & Application can be found by going to the main page of the site above, then to Publications. From there click on the link that reads Chapter 109 of the Acts of 2007: An Act Further Regulating Access to Birth Certificates. From there go to Documents and there are two links for information & an application. I cannot get the links to work on this page, but the above instructions should get you exactly where you need to go.
